What do you need:

- 700-800 g fillet of lamb 300-400 g of sauerkraut

- 1 large onion

- 1 stalk of leek

- 2 stems of celery

- 2 medium tomatoes

- 2 medium potatoes

- 2 medium carrots

- 1-2 bay leaves

- 1 tsp. thyme and oregano

- salt, black pepper

- olive oil


The recipe for soup from sauerkraut and lamb:



Meat cut into strips, salt, pepper. Fry in butter in a saucepan with a thick bottom, 3 minutes. Celery, onions, white part of leeks and 2 cm of green finely chopped. Add to meat, fry 3 min. Cut into large cubes of peeled potatoes, carrots and tomatoes. Pour 1,5-2 liters of vegetable broth or drinking water to the meat, bring to a boil, reduce the fire, add bay leaf, thyme and oregano, cook for another 20 minutes, and after laying the potatoes and carrots reduce the fire to a minimum and cook soup 20-25 min. Cut cabbage from excess juice, transfer to a saucepan and bring the dish to the ready, 7-10 minutes.Cabbage should become soft, but keep the shape. Soup of lamb and sauerkraut is ready.


Everyone knows that sauerkraut is perfectly combined with the lamb.
