How to unlock the screen?

Screen lock is an extremely useful thing on smartphones or tablets and a little less useful on computers. It does not allow outsiders to access your device without entering a password. However, if such a problem is not for you, you can refuse the blocking. In this article we will explain how to do this.

How to unlock the phone screen lock

Immediately note - completely disable the screen lock function on smartphones and tablets will not work. When you turn off the device using the power button, it will still be blocked. But you can make it so that the lock does not turn on automatically when idle and does not require a password to unlock.

In Android, to do this, open the “Settings” menu, go to the “Personal Data” section and select the “Security” item. Click “Screen Lock” and select “None”. Now you will not be asked to unlock your password. To prevent the screen from automatically blocking when idle, in the Settings menu open the Device section, select Display, click Sleep, and set the value to Never.

In iOS, open the settings, select the item “Password” and tap the “Disable password” link. Then go to the “General” item and click on the “Auto-lock” link in it. Choose "Never." Now the device will not be automatically blocked when idle, and when unlocking it will not ask for a password.

In Windows Phone 8.1, it will not be possible to completely disable the auto-blocking of the screen - after a maximum of 5 minutes it will block automatically. But you can remove the password request. To do this, swipe from the top of the screen and click on the “All Settings” link. Select “Lock Screen”, scroll to the bottom of the page and turn the “Password” slider to “Off”.

How to unlock the computer screen lock

On a computer with Windows, you can also disable the screen lock. Open the Control Panel and search for the "Power Options" section. In it, click the link “Configure power scheme” opposite the current scheme, and then click the link “Change advanced power settings”. Click on the “Change settings that are currently unavailable” link in the pop-up window and in the “Require a password on wake-up” option, select “No”. Click "OK".

In addition, you can disable the automatic transition to sleep mode. To do this, in the settings of the current power scheme, select the option “Put the computer into sleep mode” option “Never” and click “OK”.

You can also disable auto-blocking when the screen saver starts, if it is enabled. To do this, right-click on the desktop, select "Personalization", and in the window that opens, click the "Screen Saver" link. Deselect the “Start from login screen” checkbox and click “OK”.
