Game of Thrones Season 8 Preview PREDICTIONS! How Will It End?
'Game of Thrones' Might End After Season 8
Game of Thronesmight be coming to an end witheven fewer episodes than anyone expected.
Producers David Benioff and D. B. Weiss are mulling a deal with HBO to wrap up Game of Throneswith two more shortened seasons, according toVariety. If this current plan is put into action, season seven would be made up of seven episodes and only six final episodes for season eight.
"I think we're down to our final 13 episodes after this season. We're heading into the final lap," Benioff said.
"That's the guess, though nothing is yet set in stone, but that's what we're looking at."
An HBO spokesperson later cautioned The Hollywood Reporter: "Any conversations about the end ofGame of Thronesand the number of episodes of future seasons is purely speculative.
"As is customary, HBO will sit with Dan and David to discuss the details once a decision has been made to go forward with season seven."
Last summer, HBO president Michael Lombardo first tipped the idea thatGame of Thrones's eighth season could be its last.
"I think seven seasons and out has never been the conversation; the question is how much beyond the seventh season are we going to do," he said.
"[The producers are] feeling like there's probably two more years after six.
